Description:

The project tries to reach a degree of knowledge of the historical evolution of the urban helmet of the locality, in this case, through the architectonic evolution of the building that gave origin to the villa, the monastery of San Rosendo, executing with that documentation, a document in 3D that can offer a virtual information of this evolution and therefore an approach to the public nonformed historically of a information often only within reach of the specialists.

 

Objective:

The primary target is the one to put within reach of everybody, of visual and pleasant form, a information that until now has remained only within reach of the specialists. That is to say, that the average visitor of the monastery of Celanova sees of virtual form how they were the previous buildings and as it were his architectonic evolution until arriving at the imposing present building, besides explain of graphical form and therefore easily understandable, like this architectonic evolution, as well as the properties that the building had around to his ended up affecting the city-planning development of Celanova and, therefore, in the present configuration of the urban plot of the villa.

 

 

Predicted effects:

1. To offer a fast and easy understanding of the evolution of the villa taking like referring the monastery.

2. To be able to understand how buildings similar to this finished being places of economic generation and social development in their zones of establishment.

3. Graphical demonstration of how a building can mediatizar the city-planning evolution of a whole villa.

4. Accomplishment of a study to multidiscipline to know in depth the exact location the buildings previous to the present one. 

Expectations 

1. The accomplishment of previous the architectonic study to document the first two phases of the building, has helped to keep awake a great number of incognitos that the schematic deficiency has generated successively in the historians who have come studying the building for a long time.

2. All the historical studies that had been made until now on the building, have been made on historical documents, but never on the land, reason why, although it exists a deep knowledge on those who was the authors, prices of works, etc., until now did not know with exactitude the location of the old churches.

3. Complementarily to the historical study for this work, the obtained results have generated the constitution of a team of professors of archaeology, history, art of the Universities of Santiago and Vigo and have been programmed several sessions of work on the land, with the purpose of correcting that deficiency and identifying the exact location of the previous buildings.

4. It is possible that in the future next several archaeological tastings are made to know the subsoil in the surroundings the Chapel San Miguel.

5. It will be tried that the exposed videos are updated with new routes to be able to show diverse angles of camera and to avoid that they are repetitive for the visitors in the diverse visits.
